Drop-off and Pick-Up

Drop-off is at 10 AM; pick-up is at 4 PM, Monday through Friday. Doors open at 9:45 AM and there will not be an opportunity for early drop-off. Please call the Gig Harbor Film Festival at office at 253-851-3456 if you are running late for either pick up or drop off.

The drop-off and pick-up location will be on the west side of Harbor Ridge Middle School. There are double doors there that open up into the hallway that leads to the media lab. A camp representative will be there to greet your camper. The street address is: 9010 Prentice Ave, Gig Harbor, WA 98332.

Any camper under the age of 18 must be signed in out each day by a parent, caregiver, or family member who has been approved and added to the authorized pick-up list by the person(s) who registered the camper. You will have an opportunity to add to the pick-up list on the first day of camp during sign-in. Campers with driver’s licenses may drive themselves with parental permission and by pre-arrangement with the Gig Harbor Film Festival office.

What to Bring

Imagination, inspiration, and a spirit of collaboration! Also bring cell phones, tripods, cameras, and anything that you plan to use for shooting your films. The media lab has editing equipment. The Gig Harbor Film Festival will provide snacks each day, and will provide a pizza lunch on Friday, the last day of camp.

Campers will need to bring their own lunch Monday through Thursday. There is no refrigerator access available for lunch storage so please keep this in mind when preparing campers lunches. We are working to reduce our plastic waste by encouraging campers to bring a refillable water bottle.

Make sure campers are adequately protected from the sun and dressed appropriately for walking and carrying film equipment to various filming sites nearby; this is especially important Tuesday through Thursday.

Camp Staff

Richard Miller is the lead teacher for the Gig Harbor Film Festival’s Summer Film Camp. Mr. Miller will be assisted by Eileen Schurer, Regina Sadono, Mario Penalver, and a team of enthusiastic and highly qualified Gig Harbor Film Festival volunteers.

Saturday Film Screening and Awards

The film screening and awards will take place at the Galaxy Theatre Uptown from 11:00 to 12:30 on Saturday, August 3. Parents, friends, and family are invited!

And finally…,
