We are excited to announce the return of festival alum, The Travel Companion, as our June Monday Movie Night feature presentation! Join us Monday, June 29th at 6:30pm for a 2025 GHFF audience favorite at Galaxy Theatres Gig Harbor.
Simon, a struggling documentary filmmaker, enjoys free flights courtesy of his best friend and roommate, Bruce, who works for an airline. However, when Beatrice, a more successful filmmaker, enters the picture and starts dating Bruce, Simon risks flying too close to the sun.
The Travel Companion took home the award for Best Narrative Feature at the 2025 Gig Harbor Film Festival. It’s quirky, touching, incredibly funny, and meta in all the best ways. Festival audiences have loved this grounded dramedy, and we think you will too. If you missed it at last year’s fest, this is a great testament to what true indie filmmaking is capable of.
