About the Festival
The Gig Harbor Film Festival is an annual destination event hosted in the charming town of Gig Harbor, Washington. This esteemed festival always takes place the last weekend of September.
Festival dates for 2026 are Thursday, September 24 through Sunday, September 27.
The boutique-style GHFF hosts independent filmmakers and film lovers from around the country, drawing people with our intimate, friendly, welcoming vibe.
Screening in the state-of-the art Galaxy Theatres means that everybody enjoys the best viewing experience possible. All films are screened in one location (with free parking) which is convenient and relaxing. And with all films shown twice, the GHFF is definitely worth the trip for filmmakers and guests.

Festival films are shown in “blocks.” A block features either one feature-length film or a curated series of short films. This year, we’re proud to present 14 feature films and 11 themed blocks — from laugh-out-loud comedies to heartwarming dramas to local documentaries. There’s truly something for everyone in our wonderfully eclectic lineup.
When filmmakers attend screenings, we often host an in-theater Q&A session immediately afterward. The Gig Harbor Film Festival welcomes filmmakers from across the country — and many bring along their cast and crew. It’s a rare chance to connect with the talented artists who bring these stories to life.
VIP Passes - $500

Your General Admission (GA) Pass includes admission to every film screening from Thursday morning through Sunday afternoon. Every film screens twice, so you can build the festival experience that’s right for you. Seating is first come, first served.
